Don't let perfection be the death of progress.

The best solutions stand out by seamlessly solving real human problems—users shouldn’t even notice the design.

About

The Why Behind the Way

I am a creative problem solver and passionate about communication.

I started training horses and givign riding lessons at age 12, and I haven't been able to quit. I'm addicted to removing barriers in communication and getting needs met. As a horseback rider you learn the value of partnership and being on a supportive team. You learn how to build one another up and do fantastic things that you never could have achieved alone.

I take that same mentality into my work. Design is about collaboration —bringing together technology, visual storytelling, and human needs to solve real problems.

My formal education consists of Bachelor's in Marketing and Fine Art. I learned about consumer behavior, design principles, and critique skills. I learned how to fail quickly and often so that I had a shot of getting it right at some point.

I then learned how to code front & backend software and got hired as a UX/UI Designer. Working in product has taught me the importance of using processes and standards in order to maximize our resources and scale.

Design in tech is unique—creativity is valued, but straying too far from established norms isn’t. Interfaces have become their own language, and reinventing the basics only leads to confusion.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
It is the courage to continue that counts.

-Winston Churchill
